TravelNurseSource is working with Revolution Healthcare Services to find a qualified PCU RN in Columbus, Ohio, 43210!

Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: November 16, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 36 hours per week, rotating day/night shifts every 4 weeks, every other weekend (Friday & Saturday)

Highlights:

  • Specialized corrections unit serving patients with diverse medical needs including active oncology diagnoses, solid tumors, hematology, surgical procedures, COPD, sepsis, and pneumonia
  • Patient ratio of 3-4 patients with daily census of 34 across a 44-bed unit
  • Epic charting system with 32 hours of orientation provided
  • Rotating shift model: work same shifts for 4 consecutive weeks, then rotate to opposite shift for next 4 weeks
  • Float opportunities within the hospital system to expand clinical experience
  • Serve adult and geriatric patient populations in a secure, structured care environment

Requirements:

  • Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
  • Minimum 1 year of current, acute care PCU/Stepdown experience (must be actively working in specialty within last 12 months)
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Previous telemetry experience with strong cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation skills
  • Experience with IV insulin protocols and insulin drips
  • Proficiency in starting and maintaining IVs, peripheral line care, and isolation precautions
  • Completion of Ohio fingerprinting process immediately upon contract signing
  • Nursing degree from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
  • Two professional references (one must be from a manager/director or formal supervisor)
  • Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
