TravelNurseSource is working with Revolution Healthcare Services to find a qualified MICU RN in Columbus, Ohio, 43210!

Job Opportunity – Medical ICU Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: November 16, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), every other weekend required. Floating to other units within the organization may be required based on operational needs.

  • Comprehensive critical care experience including ventilator management, CRRT, and advanced cardiac care
  • Epic EMR system in a progressive medical intensive care environment
  • Extensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
  • Two pre-approved time-off periods during assignment
  • Local and travel candidates accepted at the same rate

Requirements:

  • Active Ohio RN license (compact license accepted) in hand at time of submission
  • Minimum 2 years of recent ICU/MICU experience required
  • Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
  • Two professional references required (at least one from a manager/director or formal leadership role)
  • Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting process urgently upon contract signing

Core Clinical Skills:

  • Ventilator management and care of mechanically ventilated patients
  • Titration of cardiac drips, vasoactive medications, and IV sedation
  • Continuous IV paralytics and neuromuscular blockade management
  • Arterial line, central line, and PICC line management
  • Blood product administration and CRRT (NxStage system)
  • Dysrhythmia interpretation, 12-lead EKG acquisition, and cardiac monitoring
  • Stroke and neurological care including hypothermia protocol and ICP monitoring
  • BiPAP/CPAP, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), and advanced airway management
  • Interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs)
  • Wound vac management, isolation precautions, and infection prevention protocols
  • Care of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure

Patient Population:

  • Adult patients with diagnoses including multisystem organ failure, respiratory failure, sepsis, post-cardiac arrest, liver failure, renal failure, DKA, and COVID-19
  • Post-neurosurgery, post-craniotomy, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and acute stroke patients
  • Specialized procedures including continuous glucose monitoring and externalized IV pumps for COVID-positive patients

  • Unresponsive or uncooperative candidates during credentialing are at risk of assignment delay or cancellation
  • Former employees must have been away from the facility for 6+ months to be eligible
  • Current employees at any location within the organization are ineligible for travel positions
