Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – Ohio
Start Date: November 2, 2026
Location: Columbus, Ohio

Schedule: Night shift, 36 hours per week. Weekdays with occasional weekends and rotating holidays. Float coverage required within the organization as needed.
Highlights:
- Specialized abdominal transplant unit caring for kidney, liver, and pancreas transplant patients
- Work with diverse patient diagnoses including transplant rejection monitoring, infections, AKI, hepatology cases, and GI bleeds
- Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, respiratory services, and rapid response teams
- Minimum 1 year of PCU experience required; first-time travelers welcome (profiles subject to manager review)
- Specialized procedures include kidney biopsy recovery and paracentesis
- Adult patient population with telemetry monitoring
Requirements:
- Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of progressive care/stepdown experience
- Epic charting experience required
- Core skills: Telemetry, MS/Tele, central line care, IV management, accessing/managing ports, PICC line management, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV insulin protocols, non-invasive airway management
- Nursing education from ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- Two professional references required (at least one from manager/director or formal leadership)
- Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process immediately upon contract signing
- Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
