Highlights:

• Specialize in caring for newly diagnosed acute leukemia patients in a 24-bed hematology/oncology unit with high acuity
• Staffing ratios typically 1:4, maximum 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio
• EPIC charting system for all documentation
• No chemotherapy certification required for this position
• 72 hours of comprehensive orientation provided
• Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls prevention in a specialized oncology environment

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years acute care nursing experience with at least 1 year of PCU/Step-Down experience (must be current within the last 12 months)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• ONS Chemotherapy certification preferred but not required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Experience with blood product administration, central line management, PICC lines, and IV therapy/phlebotomy
• EPIC charting experience required
• Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• 2 professional references required (at least 1 from manager/director or formal leadership)
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
