# Job Opportunity – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Registered Nurse – OhioStart Date:

Location:

Columbus, Ohio

Compensation:

Schedule:

Night shift, 36 hours per week. Weekdays with occasional weekends and rotating holidays.

Highlights:
  • Work in a specialized abdominal transplant unit caring for kidney, liver, and pancreas transplant patients
  • Epic charting system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, respiratory services, physical therapy, and rapid response teams
  • 12-month travel contract with flexibility for first-time travelers
  • Patient population includes transplant patients, hepatology cases, GI bleeds, and patients with complex medical needs
  • Float required within the organization as needed
  • Comprehensive orientation and unit secretary support
Requirements:
  • Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
  • Minimum 1 year of PCU, stepdown, IMC, or DOU experience
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Epic charting system experience required
  • Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
  • Strong skills in IV management, central line care, PICC line management, and port access
  • Experience with IV insulin protocols and non-invasive airway management
  • Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
  • Two professional references required (at least one from a manager or formal supervisor)
  • Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting requirements urgently upon contract signing
