Registered Nurse (RN) - PICU

Contract Details

This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) nursing. The contract is for 13 weeks with opportunities to start in October.

Schedule and Rotation

  • Shifts available: Night (4x12-Hour) and Day (4x12-Hour)
  • Rotating schedule with the expectation to work 2 out of 3 winter holidays
  • Work 3 weekends per six-week schedule

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients, including:

  • Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care
  • Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
  • Providing education and support to patients and families
  • Floating to NICU and Acute Care Pediatrics may be required based on staffing needs

Qualifications

  • Current BLS and PALS certification required
  • Pediatric cardiac experience is a plus
  • Must be able to submit with a pending Virginia nursing license

Time Off

40 hours can be approved for time off, but requests for time off cannot be approved during the first two weeks of the contract.
