Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be able to work night shifts and will demonstrate a strong ability to manage complex patient care in a fast-paced environment, adhering to high standards of clinical practice.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the PCU setting, closely monitoring patient status and vital signs.
• Manage and interpret dysrhythmias, ensuring prompt and appropriate interventions.
• Perform peripheral line care and management, as well as PICC line management.
• Titrate drips according to clinical protocols and patient needs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Float between various units and locations as required to meet staffing needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required; first-time travelers are encouraged to apply.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications are required.
• Experience in cardiac telemetry is mandatory.
• Demonstrated ability to manage patient ratios in PCU settings, with a standard of 1:5.

Schedule

This position involves a night shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with weekend and holiday rotations as needed.
