Job Opportunity – Operating Room RN – Virginia
Start Date: ASAP (Dependent on EPIC training schedule)
Location: Arlington, Virginia
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: 13-week assignment with schedule determined by manager. Call requirement of 3-4 shifts every 6 weeks for 8 hours each. Must be available within 30 minutes/30 miles of campus for call response.
Highlights:
- Operating Room position at a Level II Trauma Center with exposure to trauma, neuro, and orthopedic spine cases
- EPIC OP TIME (OR) charting system experience required; all travelers must attend EPIC training (accelerated 1-day or standard 2-day class based on recent experience)
- 13-week travel assignment with immediate start available upon completion of EPIC orientation
- Non-billable orientation includes up to 7 hours of modules completed during 16-hour orientation period
- Smoke/nicotine-free facility committed to maintaining a healthy work environment
- Floating may be required in rotation with facility staff in accordance with organizational policies
Requirements:
- Active Virginia or Compact RN license (must be active and in hand at time of application)
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room nursing experience
- Level II Trauma Center experience preferred, with demonstrated competency in trauma, neuro, and orthopedic spine procedures
- EPIC OP TIME (OR) experience required; candidates must provide statement of EPIC experience history within the past year
- COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered per CMS guidelines)
- Flu vaccination required during flu season (October 1 - March 31; medical exemptions only)
- Must be available for interview and provide accurate availability information
- Previous facility staff members must wait one year before returning as a traveler
