Opportunity:

RN - ICU - Neuro

Job Details:

• Work day and night shifts with 8 or 12-hour shift options available from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required with some holiday coverage
• Will accept 4x12 schedule
• Will accept Friday through Sunday block schedule
• ICU experience required; neurosurgery experience preferred
• Must be willing to work with ICU and IMC patient population
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty required
• Travel experience required
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility - locals not accepted
• Patient ratio is 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• 18-bed Neuroscience ICU unit certified as a Comprehensive Stroke Center
• Care for critically ill adult and geriatric patients with neuro diagnoses including stroke, subarachnoid hemorrhage, surgical resections, spinal cord injury, and traumatic brain injury
• Perform specialized interventions including hemodynamic monitoring, hypothermia protocol, ICP monitoring, and EVD management
• Must have experience with ICP monitoring or ventricular drain management
• Required to work with special equipment including EVDs, lumbar drains, and CereLink monitor
• Required skills include arterial line management, ventilator management, titrating vasoactive and cardiac drips, central line care, continuous IV sedation, BiPAP/CPAP management, and post craniotomy/neurosurgery management
• Travelers are required to float as needed
• Must pass a telemetry exam prior to start with a passing score of 80% or higher with a maximum of three attempts
• 100% identification of lethal rhythms required including ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, and asystole
• Epic charting system experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS and BLS (AHA only)
• Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license required
• Basic arrhythmia experience required
