Opportunity:

RN - ICU - Neuro

Job Details:

• Day and night shifts available, with 8 or 12-hour shift options
• Day shift hours: 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM; Night shift hours: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required, with some holiday coverage
• Will accept 4x12 schedule
• Will accept Friday through Sunday block scheduling
• 2:1 patient ratio maintained for days, nights, and weekends
• ICU experience required; neurosurgery experience preferred
• Must be willing to work with ICU and IMC patient population
• Minimum 2 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in the specialty required
• Travel experience required
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must have basic arrhythmia experience
• Telemetry exam required prior to start with a passing score of 80% or higher
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA only), Wisconsin or compact RN license
• Must be proficient with special equipment including EVD, lumbar drains, and CereLink monitor
• Must have experience with ICP monitoring or ventriculostomy management
• Travelers are required to float as needed
• Locals within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted
• Key skills include arterial line management, central line care, ventilator management, vasoactive drip titration, hemodynamic monitoring, ICP monitoring, post-craniotomy and post-neurosurgery management, traumatic brain injury care, spinal cord injury care, and management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction

The 18-bed Neuroscience ICU is certified as a Comprehensive Stroke Center and specializes in the care of critically ill adult patients with a variety of neurological diagnoses. The unit benefits from robust interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more, fostering a collaborative care environment led by nationally certified physicians.
