Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Neuro ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day/Night rotation Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Valid state license required Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - IV Start - Telemetry - Ventilators - Intracranial Pressure Monitoring - Epic experience Description: The position requires a registered nurse specializing in the Neuro ICU. The schedule consists of a day/night rotation with shifts every other weekend. Weekend shifts are defined as Friday and Saturday nights. Experience in a Neuro ICU setting is required. Candidates must have 2 years of nursing experience. Floating within units of equivalent or lower acuity is required. Certifications needed include BCLS, ACLS, and NIHSS. Skills required involve IV start and telemetry management. Experience with ventilators and intracranial pressure monitoring is essential. Ability to work with Epic charting system is necessary. Candidates are expected to manage patients with various neurological conditions. The patient population includes individuals experiencing strokes, seizures, and post-operative neurosurgery recovery. Special procedures include bedside interventions such as central line placement and EVD insertion. The work setting includes interdisciplinary support from various medical teams. Travel experience is preferred but not mandatory.
