Requirements: RN License; BLS; ACLS; 2 years current experience in ICU; pass ECG exam on day 2; pass/fail of beds: 16; Ratio: 1:2; Must pass ECG exam on day 2 - pass/fail of beds: 16 Ratio: 1:2 BLS and ACLS Required 2 years experience required Common diagnosis/Types of patients: Stroke / acute ischemic stroke, Intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH), Subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), Subdural hematoma (SDH), Brain tumors, Cerebral edema / increased intracranial pressure (ICP), Hydrocephalus, Acute respiratory failure, Sepsis / septic shock, Pneumonia, ARDS (acute respiratory distress syndrome), COPD exacerbation, Asthma exacerbation, Acute heart failure / pulmonary edema, Acute kidney injury (AKI), Diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), Hyperosmolar hyperglycemic state (HHS), Gastrointestinal bleeding, Acute liver failure, Severe electrolyte abnormalities Titrate Drips? Yes Common titratable &/or set rate drips - Norepinephrine (Levophed) - titratable, Epinephrine - titratable, Vasopressin - typically set rate, Phenylephrine (Neo-Synephrine) - titratable, Dopamine - titratable Clin techs on unit? Two clinical techs for 16 patients RT Equipment: Mechanical ventilator, High-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), Noninvasive ventilation (BiPAP/CPAP) Are there tele/monitor techs on the units? No Are RNs required to read their own strips? Yes What brand are the tele monitors? Phillips Holiday requirement: 1 major and 1 minor holiday per year (Major: Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, New Years Eve/New Years Day, Thanksgiving Day/Day after) (Minor: Labor Day, 4th of July, Memorial Day) Scrubs: Navy Blue

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized care for patients in the CV Neuro ICU setting focusing on neurological and cardiovascular critical care.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry strips, with RNs required to read their own strips.
• Titrate titratable drips including Norepinephrine, Epinephrine, Phenylephrine, and Dopamine.
• Collaborate with clinical techs and utilize advanced RT equipment such as ventilators and HFNC.
• Ensure adherence to holiday staffing requirements, including major and minor holidays.
