Job Summary:
The Intensive Care Unit Neurological (ICU Neuro) registered nurse position is based in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing specialized care to patients with neurological conditions, including stroke, brain tumors, intracranial hemorrhage, and other critical neurological disorders. The position requires working night shifts and adheres to established clinical protocols, including ECG exams and titratable drips management.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, from 09/28/2026 to 12/27/2026.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), passing an ECG exam on day 2, and at least 2 years of clinical experience in a neurological or ICU setting.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with stroke and intracranial hemorrhage patients, ability to read tele monitors, and experience with titratable drips such as Norepinephrine, Epinephrine, Vasopressin, Phenylephrine, and Dopamine.
  • Additional Information: The role involves managing patients requiring mechanical ventilation, high-flow nasal cannula, Noninvasive Ventilation (BiPAP/CPAP), and titratable medication drips. The nurse will be expected to be the first to float to other critical units as needed and handle boarders up to four. On-call is not required. The role requires access to Epic modules and familiarity with second monitoring systems. Hospitality includes one major and one minor holiday per year, with specific schedule expectations and float responsibilities.
