- EPIC EMR Experience in a like unit within the last 12 months
- Basic Dysrhythmia test must be passed during the first week of assignment
Description:
The traveler will be responsible for self-studying telemetry strips upon acceptance.
A Basic Dysrhythmia test must be passed in order to work in this float pool.
Delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation in coordination with other health team members.
Effectively interacts with the patient, significant others, and other health team members while maintaining high standards of professional nursing.
Provides high-quality care to the following patient populations: geriatric, medical/surgical, adult, psychiatric, and telemetry.
Estimated work week is 36 hours with the possibility of additional hours.
Every other weekend and holiday rotation is required.
The candidate will be required to float to units within scope and may be required to float to other campuses at times.
Floating may include any non-critical care inpatient units, including behavioral health and emergency department if there are boarded patients.
If the traveler has critical care experience, they may be floated to critical care units.
Telemetry ratios are currently 1:4 on days and 1:5 on nights.
Medical/surgical ratios are currently 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights.
While the traveler will not be part of a regular call rotation, they may be occasionally placed on call during periods of low census.
If called in, the traveler is expected to be able to respond and arrive on-site within one hour.
Certifications required include GRH CPI/MOAB, BLS, ACLS, and NIH.
