- EPIC EMR Experience in a similar unit within the last 12 months.
- Basic Dysrhythmia test to be passed during orientation.
Description:
The traveler will be responsible for self-studying telemetry strips upon acceptance.
A basic dysrhythmia test will be administered during the first week of the assignment.
This test must be passed in order to work in the float pool.
The nurse will deliver care utilizing the nursing process: assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation.
Collaboration with other health team members is essential.
The traveler will effectively interact with patients and their significant others while maintaining high standards of professional nursing.
High-quality care will be provided to various patient populations, including geriatric, medical/surgical, adult, psychiatric, and telemetry.
The typical work week will consist of approximately 36 hours, with the possibility of overtime.
Every other weekend and holiday rotation is required.
Patients will be cared for with telemetry ratios currently at 1:4 during the day and 1:5 at night.
Med/Surg ratios are currently 1:5 during the day and 1:6 at night.
The traveler will be required to float to different units within scope and may occasionally float to non-critical care inpatient units, including behavioral health and emergency departments.
If the traveler has critical care experience, they may be floated to critical care units.
Although there is no regular call rotation, the traveler may occasionally be placed on call during periods of low census.
If called in, the traveler is expected to respond and arrive on-site within one hour.
