Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 03:00 PM - 03:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12.5 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Current RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH Certification, MOAB Must-Have: - Epic EMR experience in a similar unit within the last 12 months - Ability to study telemetry strips and pass a basic dysrhythmia test Description: The Emergency Room Registered Nurse is responsible for identifying patient needs and priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation. This role involves providing direct and indirect patient care in the emergency care setting. The RN will triage safely, rapidly, and accurately every patient who enters the emergency care system. The RN will coordinate care between other professional disciplines as needed. While the traveler will not be part of a regular call rotation, they may occasionally be placed on call during periods of low census. If called in, the traveler is expected to respond and arrive on-site within one hour. Every other weekend rotation and every other holiday will apply. A basic dysrhythmia test out will be given during the first week of the assignment, which must be passed to work in the emergency department. Certifications required include BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIH Certification. Knowledge of CPI/MOAB is also a requirement.
