EPIC EMR Experience in a similar unit within the last 12 months.
Description:
Traveler will be responsible for self-studying telemetry strips upon acceptance.
A basic dysrhythmia test will be conducted during orientation.
This must be passed in order to work in the float pool.
Delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation in coordination with other health team members.
Effectively interacts with patients, significant others, and other health team members while maintaining high standards of professional nursing.
Provides high-quality care to the following patient populations: geriatric, medical/surgical, adult, psychiatric, and telemetry.
Estimated work week is 36 hours with the possibility of overtime.
Every other weekend rotation is required.
Every other holiday rotation is also required.
Candidate will be required to float to units within scope and may be required to float to additional campuses.
Floating may include any non-critical care inpatient units, including behavioral health and the emergency department if there are boarded patients.
If the traveler has critical care experience, they may be floated to critical care units.
Traveler will be responsible for self-studying telemetry strips upon acceptance.
A basic dysrhythmia test will be given during the first week of assignment.
Telemetry ratios are currently 1:4 on days and 1:5 on nights.
Medical/surgical ratios are currently 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights.
While the traveler will not be part of a regular call rotation, they may be occasionally placed on call during periods of low census.
If called in, the traveler is expected to arrive on-site within one hour.
