Description

Job Title: Medical Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: MICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating Schedule Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of Medical ICU experience required. License: Must have valid compact or state license in hand at time of submission. Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NIHSS required. Must-Have: - Proficiency in IV start - Experience with telemetry - Competency with ventilators - Experience in care of patients with multisystem organ failure, respiratory failure, COVID, sepsis, post-cardiac arrest, diabetic ketoacidosis, liver failure, and renal failure Description: The position is for a Medical Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse. The schedule is 3x12-hour shifts with rotation between days and nights every 4 weeks. Estimated patient ratios are 1:1-2. Epic experience is required for this role. The nurse will be expected to manage care for patients requiring continuous glucose monitoring for hyperglycemia and externalized IV pumps for COVID+ patients. Knowledge of NxStage CRRT, Alaris IV Pump, GE Cardiac Monitor, and GE Ventilator is essential. The nurse will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Travel nursing experience is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates should be prepared for potential floating to other units as required.
