Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical / Telemetry setting across units including cardiac, spine, and neuro
- Monitor and interpret telemetry rhythms, including identification of lethal arrhythmias
- Float to other units as needed based on operational requirements
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic EMR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality inpatient care
Required Qualifications
- Active Wisconsin RN license or valid Compact RN license required
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
- Minimum of two years of acute care inpatient RN experience within the last three years in Medical Surgical / Telemetry
- Epic EMR experience required
- Must pass a Telemetry exam prior to start (Adult and Pediatric); passing score of 80% or higher with 100% identification of lethal rhythms required; travelers have up to three attempts under defined criteria
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates will not be accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience working across multiple Med/Surg unit types, including cardiac, spine, and neuro
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
- Comfort with floating and adapting to varied inpatient care environments
