Telemetry test must be passed prior to starting.
Description:
Can start on specified dates.
Will accept assignments ranging from 13 to 17 weeks.
Evening/Night shifts are required.
Shifts are 12 hours from 19:00 to 07:30.
Weekend rotation and holidays may be necessary.
Two years of experience in Medical Surgical/Telemetry is required.
A Registered Nurse license is mandatory.
BLS certification must be obtained from the American Heart Association only.
Previous charge experience is preferred.
Patient ratio experience of 4 is expected.
Experience with charting systems, particularly Epic, is required.
Community hospital experience is preferred.
Experience in Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) is preferred.
Trauma Level I and II experience are preferred.
Travel experience is required.
Skills required include managing ports, arterial line management, blood product administration, and central line care.
Nurses will frequently care for patients with various post-operative needs.
Patient diagnoses may include those requiring complex abdominal surgeries and emergent general surgeries.
The unit focuses on compassionate patient and family-centered care.
Emphasis is placed on professional development through ongoing education and certifications.
Travelers must be willing to float as needed.
Local candidates are not accepted.
Inpatient RN travelers must have two years of acute care experience in the specialty within the last three years.
Pass/fail testing is required with strict criteria.
A telemetry exam will be administered prior to starting.
With two attempts, specific criteria must be met for passing.
If the traveler fails after two attempts, additional requirements must be completed before a third attempt.
Failure to pass within three attempts will result in cancellation of the assignment.
