Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care within a Medical Surgical / Telemetry float pool setting, with potential to float to designated units including emergency department coverage for the same patient population
• Perform continuous ECG rhythm recognition and telemetry monitoring as part of routine patient assessment
• Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with facility protocols, as validated through orientation assessments
• Adapt to variable shift assignments across day and night rotations to meet operational needs of the facility
• Participate in required orientation activities including completion of ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments with an acceptable passing score
• Work at least every other holiday as required by the float pool schedule

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months of combined permanent experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry specialty; must include 18 months of recent Med/Surg Tele experience (travel experience accepted)
• Active permanent Ohio RN license or active Compact State license in hand at time of submission — no pending licenses accepted
• Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS certification required
• Active ACLS certification required
• Active NIHSS certification required
• One professional reference from a manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty from an assignment worked within the past 12 months is required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 18 months of permanent experience within a single location in the Med/Surg Telemetry specialty
• Prior travel nursing experience in a Medical Surgical / Telemetry setting
• Familiarity with float pool environments and ability to adapt quickly across multiple unit types
