Job Opportunity – Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse – Ohio

Start Date: September 25, 2026

Location: Cleveland, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Day/Night rotating shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM / 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM. Shifts may vary based on operational needs. Traveler must work at least every other holiday. Contract duration is 20 weeks (winter coverage); 13-week contracts also accepted.

Highlights:

  • Med/Surg Telemetry position with potential to float to similar units caring for the same patient population
  • Rotating day/night shifts with scheduling flexibility to meet operational requirements
  • ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments completed during orientation
  • Extension opportunities available for up to 18 months with appropriate breaks
  • Pre-start modules required (average 6-15 hours); 4 hours are billable
  • Comprehensive orientation and ongoing educational support provided

Requirements:

  • Minimum 18 months combined permanent experience in Medical/Surgical Telemetry (preferably within one location, but combined experience accepted)
  • Must have 18 months of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience; travel experience will satisfy this requirement
  • Active permanent Ohio RN license or Compact state license required at time of submission
  • Current certifications: BLS (AHA or American Red Cross), ACLS, and NIHSS
  • Professional reference from a manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty from within the past 12 months
  • Clear background check with no open cases; no license hits accepted
  • Completion of BCI/FBI fingerprinting within 48 hours of contract signing
  • Negative drug screen required within 12 months of start date (updated annually)
  • COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions only)
