Description:
Travelers can have 1 of 3 major holidays off and must work 2 holidays.
Position requires working all scheduled shifts.
The facility cannot accommodate scheduling requests outside of approved time off.
Ratios for patient care are 1:4-5.
Weekend requirements include working every other weekend, with a need for flexibility.
Passing a fill-in-the-blank tele test is required at orientation.
Travelers are expected to float within scope to meet facility needs.
The role demands good time management skills.
Flexibility is necessary as floating may be within a 12-hour shift, with shifts split between units.
Staffing and scheduling will vary.
Experience in telemetry nursing is essential.
This position requires a strong background in various medical conditions and care protocols.
Travelers should have experience in diverse patient populations including adults and geriatrics.
Daily census and patient volume may vary.
Interdisciplinary support is available from various healthcare professionals.
Travelers should be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment with a cultural diverse patient population.
Special equipment familiarity, particularly with peripheral nerve catheters, is preferred due to high volume on certain floors.
Floating to all acute care and telemetry units, including behavioral health and respite, is an expectation of this role.
