Description:
Travelers can have one of three major holidays off and must work two holidays (eve/day).
All scheduled shifts are required, and scheduling requests outside of approved time off cannot be accommodated.
No requests for time off during the Christmas holiday will be accepted.
The patient-to-nurse ratios are 1:4-5.
This position is not open to first-time travelers.
Weekend shifts are required every other week, and travelers are asked to be flexible.
Clinicians are expected to float within their scope to meet facility needs.
Travelers are not accommodated with a block schedule.
Local candidates are accepted with no specific radius rule.
There is a pass/fail fill-in-the-blank tele test required at orientation.
The facility seeks to avoid travel pairs.
Staffing and scheduling details indicate floating is expected on all acute care and telemetry units, including behavioral health and respite.
Travelers will be assigned split shifts, with 8 hours in one area and 4 hours in another.
Good time management skills are necessary for this role.
Solid color scrubs are required, with specific colors provided on certain units.
Daily census varies, and the patient population is culturally diverse.
Experience in managing a wide range of patients including those in medicine, neuro, burn, orthopedic/surgical, and rehabilitation is preferred.
