Job Summary
Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE) Registered Nurse (RN) Madison, WI. This position involves providing high-quality, evidence-based care to complex and dynamic patient populations across multiple medical and surgical general care units and intermediate care units. The role requires float coverage across various departments, utilizing critical thinking skills to recognize and escalate complications while collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
Job Details
- Location: Madison, WI
- Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, with a schedule of nights between 7:00 PM and 7:30 AM, minimum 36 hours per week
- Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association), WI or compact RN license, Epic experience required
- Required Qualifications: At least two years of recent acute care experience in inpatient nursing, experience working in different Medical/Surgical units (cardiac, spine, neuro), Basic Arrhythmia experience, mandatory Telemetry test passing, valid WI or compact RN license
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Neuro and Oncology units, prior telemetry experience, Critical care certification is advantageous
- Additional Information: Must pass a telemetry exam with two attempts, identifying lethal rhythms such as ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, and asystole, with a passing score of 80% or higher. Must have experience in charting with Epic software, managing cardiac and neuro patient care, and working with various invasive and wound care procedures.
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours, minimum 36 hours per week.
- Submission Requirements: Candidates are required to submit proof of required certifications and telemetry exam results prior to start.
