Job Opportunity – Oncology Nurse / Medical-Surgical Telemetry – Ohio

Start Date: October 19, 2026

Location: Columbus, Ohio

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts (Day/Night rotating or Nights only). Shift assignments reviewed every 4-week scheduling period based on department needs. Variable weekend coverage. Patient ratios aim for 1:4, may adjust to 1:5 based on unit needs.

Highlights:

  • Specialized oncology unit caring for adult and geriatric patients with endometrial, bladder, renal, ovarian, and cervical cancers
  • Advanced treatment modalities including chemotherapy, clinical trials, brachytherapy, and continuous bladder irrigation (CBI)
  • Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, rapid response teams, respiratory services, and social services
  • EPIC charting system with 36-bed unit census
  • 72-hour orientation period provided
  • Strong emphasis on infection prevention protocols and patient safety initiatives

Requirements:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Compact or Ohio state license required)
  • Minimum 2 years of current, acute care Med Surg/Telemetry nursing experience (must be working consistently within the last 12 months in this specialty)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Proficiency in chemotherapy administration, telemetry monitoring, and dysrhythmia interpretation and management
  • Experience with IV therapy, blood product administration, central line maintenance, and feeding tube care
  • EPIC charting system experience required
  • ONS Chemotherapy certification preferred
  • Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
  • Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
  • Ability to complete Ohio fingerprinting process urgently upon contract acceptance
  • Two professional references required (at least one from manager/director or formal leadership)
