Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent permanent Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience
• Active permanent Ohio RN license or active compact RN license in hand at the time of submission
• Active AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
• NIHSS certification completed before the start date, with willingness to obtain it if needed
• One recent professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, director, or charge nurse within the specialty; reference should be from an assignment worked within the past 12 months
• Successful completion of required ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety assessments during orientation
• Ability to meet applicable background, credentialing, and clinical compliance requirements

Travel Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Assess patient conditions, identify changes in clinical status, and communicate concerns promptly
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, vital signs, laboratory results, and other relevant clinical data
• Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with current standards and protocols
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and other members of the care team
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge planning
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic health record
