Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of combined permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required
• Active permanent Ohio RN license or compact RN license in hand at time of submission
• Current BLS and ACLS certification required
• NIHSS certification preferred or required per unit standards
• One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty within the past 12 months
• All required credentials must be active and available at the time of submission
• Must be able to complete orientation assessments successfully
• Ability to meet compliance requirements for background review, fingerprinting, and pre-start onboarding
• COVID-19 and flu vaccination required, with medical or religious exemptions only

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Assess patients, administer medications, and carry out provider orders
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to support patient recovery and discharge planning
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and thoroughly
• Maintain a strong focus on patient safety, clinical standards, and quality outcomes
• Adapt to a dynamic night-shift environment and contribute to effective unit teamwork
