Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MS/Tele Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 Year Required, 2 Preferred License: Active Nursing License Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Preferred, NIHSS Must-Have: - First-time travelers accepted. - Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs. - Required weekend shifts: 8 in a 6-week schedule period. Description: PCU Registered Nurse position available. This assignment is for a duration of 13 weeks. Shifts will be 3 days a week, from 06:45 to 19:15. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 1:5. Registered Nurses will monitor a wide variety of conditions, including stroke, heart failure, respiratory failure, and post-surgical care. Daily tasks include managing cardiac drips and heparin protocols, interpreting dysrhythmias, and caring for patients on telemetry. Clinicians will also perform IV therapy, blood product administration, and care for feeding tubes. The role involves managing both pre- and post-hemodialysis patients, as well as providing neurological assessments for conditions such as stroke and traumatic brain injuries. Wound care and isolation precautions are also required skills. Travelers may be expected to float between different departments and units as needed. Weekend and holiday shifts may be required based on unit needs. Additional skills preferred include experience in neuro stepdown and managing vasoactive drips. All Registered Nurses must have the ability to manage high acuity patients requiring a higher level of care monitoring.
