Start Date: October 12, 2026

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM), 36 hours per week. Patient ratio typically 5:1, may flex to 6:1 as needed. Weekend requirement: 3 weekends (6 total weekend shifts) every 6 weeks. Self-scheduling model balanced by leadership based on unit needs.

Highlights:

  • Contract lengths from 16 weeks up to February 27, 2027 available to support through the holiday season
  • Pulmonary and general medical patient population including trach care, chest tubes, COPD, asthma, and patients with longer lengths of stay
  • Epic EMR, Pyxis, SBAR communication tools
  • Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, lift teams, rapid response teams, and pharmacy
  • 24-hour orientation provided; first-time travelers accepted
  • Non-invasive airway management (BiPAP/CPAP, nasal cannula); no ventilators

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
  • Active RN license (North Carolina or Compact state license accepted)
  • BLS (BCLS) and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
  • Proficiency in interpretation and management of cardiac dysrhythmias required
  • Must pass EKG testing prior to start date
  • Telemetry experience strongly preferred
  • Epic charting experience preferred
  • Willingness to float within service line as needed
  • Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
