Travel Nurse RN - Med/Surg / Telemetry - $1,969 per week in Salisbury, NC

Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (18:45 - 07:15), every other weekend required, 3 weekend shifts per 6-week period. Float requirement to all areas holding medical-surgical patients.

Highlights:

• 36-bed medical-surgical/telemetry unit with nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6-7
• Diverse patient population including COPD, pneumonia, hip fractures, and general surgery cases
• Epic EMR and Pyxis medication management systems
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and lift teams
• 24-hour orientation with structured onboarding process
• 13-week contract with up to 7 days pre-approved time off (no holidays)

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience required
• Active North Carolina or Compact state RN license
• Current BLS/BCLS and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• Strong medical-surgical and telemetry experience mandatory
• Demonstrated competency in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation, and emergency response
• Proficiency in IV therapy including blood product administration, central line and peripheral line management
• Experience with respiratory support (nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management)
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and proper PPE usage
• OCN certification and chemotherapy administration experience preferred
• Must be willing to float to all areas holding medical-surgical patients
• First-time travelers accepted; local candidates welcome
