Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess the skills and certifications necessary for providing high-quality patient care in a Med-Surg Oncology setting.

Core Responsibilities

  • Administer IV therapy and manage blood product administration.
  • Provide care for patients with central and peripheral lines, including their maintenance and management.
  • Monitor cardiac health, including the interpretation of dysrhythmias and participation in rapid response and code teams.
  • Utilize respiratory management skills, including administering nasal cannula and non-invasive airway management.
  • Adhere to isolation precautions and use personal protective equipment (PPE) effectively.
  • Float to various areas as needed, caring for Med-Surg patients.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Experience: 2 years of nursing experience required.
  • Travel Experience: Accepted for first-time travelers.
  • Certifications: BCLS and NIH are required. OCN and Chemo Admin certifications are preferred.
  • Work Setting Experience: Must have experience in telemetry.

Shift Details

  • Shift: 12-hour night shifts (18:45 - 07:15)
  • Target Patient Ratios: 1 nurse to 6 patients, 36 beds
  • Orientation Duration: 24 hours
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend mandatory
  • RTO Policy: A maximum of 7 days for Aya automatic offers; no RTO can be worked out onsite

Work Environment

Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Epic and Pyxis is beneficial.
