Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Neuro Unit. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient safety and a teamwork approach to patient care. This is a night shift position with flexible scheduling options.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with general medicine and neuro conditions.
• Work collaboratively with a healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation using EPIC and follow the SBAR communication method.
• Float to other units as needed; travelers will float first.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in nursing required.
• New travelers are welcomed to apply.
• Current certifications in ACLS and BLS are mandatory.
• Preferred experience in neuro care and familiarity with the charge nurse role.
• Must pass EKG testing prior to starting in this specialty.

Schedule & Availability

• Shift: Night shifts (4x12 hour schedule; 18:45 - 07:15)
• 36 or 48 hours per week accepted.
• Contract duration between 13-20 weeks.
• Weekends: 5-6 weekend shifts required, equivalent to every other weekend.
• RTO (Requests for Time Off): Maximum of 7 days allowed for AYA auto offers.

Additional Information

All contract staff are expected to participate in Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team assignments during catastrophic events or disasters. There may be a requirement to report to work during mass casualty situations.

Unit Orientation

New hires will undergo a 24-hour orientation program to familiarize themselves with unit protocols and procedures.

Uniforms

Navy blue scrubs are required and not provided.
