Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel Nursing Job in Fargo, North Dakota

  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,200 - $2,320
  • Healthcare Setting: Acute care Med/Surg unit
  • Location: Fargo, ND 58102
  • Shift: 12-hour day shifts
  • Hours per Week: 36
  • Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday
  • Assignment Length: 13 weeks
  • Unit Size: 47-bed department
  • Patient Ratio: 5:1 on days; 6:1 on nights
  • Charting System: EPIC
  • Orientation: 1 day lead center training plus 2 unit shifts with a preceptor
  • Floating: May float to other Med/Surg units across campus

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience
  • Experience in a larger hospital setting with at least 200 beds preferred
  • Trauma center experience at Level II or higher required
  • Travel nursing experience preferred
  • Surgical oncology experience preferred
  • Active North Dakota RN license or Compact RN license
  • Current BLS certification through AHA required
  • EPIC experience required
  • Must be able to provide interview availability with submission

Responsibilities

  • Provide safe, compassionate care to Med/Surg and surgical oncology patients
  • Collaborate with physicians and interprofessional healthcare team members to plan, implement, and evaluate care
  • Deliver nursing care aligned with age-specific and population-specific standards
  • Monitor patient status and respond appropriately to changing clinical conditions
  • Utilize unit equipment and systems including EPIC, AccuDose, bladder scanner, Phillips monitors, and telemetry
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow unit processes, including badge-in and badge-out procedures
  • Adapt to floating assignments within Med/Surg units as needed
