  • Schedule: 12-hour rotating day/night shifts

  • Rotation: Every other weekend and holiday
  • Charting System: EPIC
  • Orientation: Lead center training followed by unit-based precepted shifts
  • Floating: May float to other Med/Surg units across campus

Job Requirements

  • Active North Dakota RN license or compact RN license
  • BLS certification through AHA
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience
  • Experience in a large hospital setting preferred, with trauma level 2 or higher
  • Previous travel nurse experience preferred; strong large-hospital experience may be considered
  • EPIC charting experience required
  • Surgical oncology nursing experience preferred, but not required
  • Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts, every other weekend, and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality patient care for Med/Surg and surgical oncology patients in an acute care environment
  • Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to plan, implement, and evaluate care
  • Deliver nursing care within full scope of practice and population-specific standards
  • Monitor patients using unit equipment including telemetry, Philips monitors, AccuDose, bladder scanner, and EPIC charting
  • Use strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork to support safe patient outcomes
  • Adapt to floating assignments within Medical-Surgical units as needed
  • Participate in unit orientation and demonstrate efficient, evidence-based nursing practice
