- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,200-$2,320

- Charting System: EPIC
- Unit Size: 47-bed department
- Patient Ratio: 5:1 days, 6:1 nights
- Orientation: 1 day lead center training plus 2 unit shifts with a preceptor
- Floating: May float to other medical-surgical units across the campus
Job Requirements
- Active North Dakota RN license or compact nursing license
- BLS certification through AHA required
- Minimum of 2 years of recent medical-surgical nursing experience
- Experience in a large hospital setting preferred
- Experience in a Level II or higher trauma center preferred
- Travel nursing experience required unless supported by multiple years in a large Level I setting
- EPIC experience required
- Surgical oncology experience preferred
- Must be comfortable working rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care for medical-surgical and surgical oncology patients
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other interdisciplinary care team members to plan and evaluate patient care
- Use clinical judgment to assess, monitor, and respond to changes in patient condition
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards and unit protocols
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation using the EPIC charting system
- Utilize unit equipment such as AccuDose, bladder scanners, Phillips monitors, and telemetry systems
- Deliver care in alignment with age-specific and population-specific standards
- Badge in and out according to facility process and maintain professionalism on every shift
