Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) professional opportunity in Wausau, Wisconsin. The position involves working on a 13-week assignment in an observation unit with a focus on inpatient care. The role requires adaptability to a rotating shift schedule and various unit needs, including low census hours and holiday rotations.

Job Details:

  • Shift Time: Rotating, 12 hours variable shifts, typically from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
  • Schedule: 36 hours per week minimum, with guaranteed hours, excluding holiday and flu season restrictions
  • Required Qualifications: Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) ARC or AHA, minimum of 2 years of experience with at least one travel assignment, charting experience required in EPIC, ability to interpret electrocardiograms (EKG), background in observation units or step-down medical/surgical or telemetry units, valid EKG exam during compliance
