- No first-time travelers accepted
Description:
This position requires a dedicated ICU Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care to critically ill patients.
The ICU has a patient capacity of 23 beds.
Nurse-to-patient ratios can vary from 1:1 to 1:3 depending on patient acuity.
The common patient diagnoses include respiratory failure, CHF, ARDS, post-surgical recovery, and various cardiac conditions.
The ICU does not handle trauma or hemorrhagic strokes.
RNs are expected to titrate various medications, including pressors, sedation, and insulin.
Charge Nurses do not have assigned patients.
There is a dedicated internal medicine team available in-house 24/7.
Respiratory Therapy services are also available around the clock.
Nurses will be responsible for EKG monitoring and interpretation.
Support staff will be available 24/7 but will not be assigned to the unit.
ICU nurses are expected to draw labs and perform EKGs themselves.
This position is located in a teaching facility, fostering professional relationships among staff and students.
Shifts are scheduled using an application, and staff must be flexible with scheduling.
Traveling nurses may need to float to other areas as needed.
Weekend and holiday shifts are required as part of the position.
All nurses must clock in and out appropriately.
