Critical Care Float Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Critical Care Float Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in multiple ICU units, including Neuro ICU, Cardiothoracic, Burn ICU, and Trauma Surgery, as well as experience in IMC/Progressive/General care populations.

Shifts

This position offers the following shift options:

  • Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:30)
  • Alternative option: 4x12-hour shifts, if preferred

Work Schedule

The successful candidate will work evening/night shifts with every other weekend and some holiday commitments.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality patient care in a variety of critical care settings.
  • Float between multiple ICU units as required.
  • Administer medications and treatments as per protocols.
  • Monitor patient conditions and report significant changes to the healthcare team.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications

  • Current Wisconsin RN license or compact RN license is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required (AHA only).
  • Telemetry test must be completed and passed prior to starting the position.
  • Demonstrated experience in critical care settings is highly preferred.
