ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled ICU Registered Nurse to join our medical staff in providing exceptional care in a Trauma ICU setting. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in medical, surgical, and trauma-intensive care, demonstrating a commitment to patient safety and quality care.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the Trauma ICU.
• Monitor patient conditions by utilizing advanced assessment skills and making necessary interventions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Provide education and emotional support to patients and families regarding treatment plans and care processes.
• Participate in procedures and treatment plans as required in the ICU setting.
• Manage multiple tasks and adapt to the dynamic needs of the ICU environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience.
• Previous experience in Medical, Surgical, and Trauma ICUs preferred.
• Proficient in the use of Epic or similar electronic medical records systems.
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin or a compact RN license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
• Ability to pass a telemetry test before starting the position is mandatory.

Shift Details

• Shifts are structured as 12 hours, with options for day or evening rotations.
• Includes every other weekend rotation and some holiday shifts.
