Job Summary:
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) position in a healthcare facility located in Madison, Wisconsin. This role involves providing specialized care in multiple critical care units, including Neuro ICU, Cardiothoracic ICU, Burn ICU, and Trauma ICU. The RN will support adult populations with diverse complex medical conditions, ensuring high-quality patient care in a dynamic and autonomous environment.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Night shifts, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, beginning on 10/12/2026 and ending on 01/11/2027.
  • Required Qualifications: Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license or compact state RN license, 5 years of acute care experience within the last 3 years in ICU specialties, BLS and ACLS certifications provided by the American Heart Association (AHA), and successful passing of strict telemetry testing criteria.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Previous charge nurse experience, experience with multiple ICU units (Neuro ICU, Cardiothoracic ICU, Burn ICU, and Trauma ICU), and minimum of 5 years of ICU experience.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required as needed.
  • Additional Information:
    • Experience working with adult populations in ICU settings such as Neuro ICU, Cardiothoracic ICU, Burn ICU, and Trauma ICU.
    • Basic arrhythmia recognition and telemetry interpretation skills are essential.
    • The RN must be proficient in managing invasive lines, ventilators, extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), and other high-acuity equipment.
    • The role involves adherence to hospital protocols, infection prevention practices, and comprehensive patient monitoring and management.
    • The assignment includes participation in shared governance and working within an academic learning environment.
