Contract | Days | 7AM or 11AM start time | 36 hours/week expected | Weekend and holiday rotation required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 34-bed Emergency Department at a Level 2 Trauma Center
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for emergency patients across varying acuity levels
- Participate in weekend and holiday rotation as scheduled
- Maintain compliance with unit policies, including a strict call-in policy and minimal requested time off during the assignment
- Document patient care accurately using the facility's electronic medical records system
Required Qualifications
- Current Kansas RN license or multistate compact license in good standing — no disciplinary actions on license or background
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required — must be issued through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- TNCC, NIHSS, and MOAB or CPI certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room RN experience; prior travel nursing experience required
- All certifications and licensure must be current and verifiable at time of submission
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 4 or more years of Emergency Room RN experience strongly preferred
- Experience with Epic EMR
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and hit the ground running in a fast-paced trauma environment
