Contract | Nights (3:00 PM or 7:00 PM start) | 13–14 Week Assignment | Expected 36 hours/week | Weekend & Holiday Rotation Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a 34-bed Emergency Department at a Level 2 Trauma Center
- Deliver high-acuity emergency nursing care with the ability to hit the ground running from day one
- Participate in weekend and holiday rotation as scheduled
- Adhere to a 3-strike call-in policy and maintain requested time off to a maximum of 5 days for the duration of the assignment, with no more than one holiday request
- Document patient care accurately using the facility's electronic medical records system
Required Qualifications
- Current Kansas RN license or a valid multistate (Compact) RN license in good standing — no hits on license or background accepted
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required — must be issued through the American Heart Association (AHA)
- TNCC and NIHSS certifications required
- MOAB or CPI certification required
- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room RN experience; 4 years strongly preferred
- Prior travel nursing experience required — first-time travelers will not be considered
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 4 or more years of Emergency Room nursing experience
- Experience with Epic EMR
- Demonstrated ability to function independently in a high-acuity, fast-paced emergency environment
