Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Alternating 36/48-hour weeks; 48-hour week schedules may be considered | 12 weekend shifts (Saturday or Sunday) expected per contract
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting
- Assess, triage, and prioritize patients based on acuity and clinical presentation
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions per physician orders and established protocols
- Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner using electronic health record systems
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient treatment and disposition
- Maintain ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC certifications as required throughout the contract
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Texas or compact equivalent
- ACLS certification required
- BLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- PALS certification required
- TNCC and ENPC certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in the specialty
- Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with Cerner electronic health records system
- Prior travel nursing experience in an Emergency Room setting
