Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: - ACLS - BLS - NIHSS - PALS - TNCC - ENPC Must-Have: - Previous charge experience (2 years preferred) - Required trauma level experience Description: The Emergency Room Registered Nurse will work a 3x12-hour day shift or a 4x12-hour day shift. An alternating schedule with 36/48 hours will be considered. Weekend shifts (Saturday or Sunday) are required per contract. Candidates must possess current certifications in ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, and ENPC. Experience with patient ratios of 4:1 is preferred. Knowledge of or experience with the Cerner charting system is beneficial. The nurse will provide care to a diverse patient population including neonates, adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Daily census is approximately 165 patients with a total of 42 beds available. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams. Nurses will manage various patient conditions including abdominal pain, acute psychosis, drug overdose, seizures, and traumatic brain injuries. Skills required include but are not limited to intubation, phlebotomy, emergency medications administration, and triage. The nurse will also work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, ensuring comprehensive care and safety for all patients.
