License: RN license required. Certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS, TNCC required. Must-Have: Epic experience required. Telemetry test required prior to starting. Description: This position requires evening 12-hour shifts from 11:00 to 23:30 or 15:00 to 03:30, including weekends and holidays. Candidates must have two years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last three years. Epic experience is required. BLS, PALS, ACLS - AHA ONLY - are required certifications. The candidate must have TNCC certification. Travelers will be required to pass a telemetry test prior to being cleared to start. Travelers must have two years of acute care experience within the last three years in the specialty they are submitting to. No references are to be submitted with applications. All applicants must complete a telemetry exam which has strict passing criteria. The following criteria must be met within two attempts: Adult Exam: 100% identification of lethal rhythms including ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, and asystole. No incorrect answers are allowed on questions regarding third-degree heart blocks; failure occurs with one incorrect answer. A passing score of 80% or higher is required. Pediatric Exam includes recognition of ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole, and sinus bradycardia. A passing score of 80% or higher is also required for this exam. If travelers do not pass the exam after two attempts, they must submit a certificate of completion of a cardiac interpretation review course prior to a third attempt. Failure to pass after three attempts will result in cancellation of the assignment. The Emergency Department provides comprehensive emergency care and is designated as a Level IV Trauma Center and an Acute Stroke Ready Center. The department has 40 exam rooms and the ability to flex additional rooms to meet surges in demand. The team coordinates closely with ground ambulance services to provide seamless care for critically ill and injured patients. This role includes responsibilities in triaging patients and managing acute and emergent conditions across a variety of patient demographics. Travelers may be required to float as needed based on staffing needs. Local travelers are not accepted, and a distance rule of 50 miles from the facility will apply.
