Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• 13-week contract with an ASAP start date
• 12-hour variable day/PM shifts; PM shifts start at 11:00 AM or 2:00 PM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• May be required to float to other locations including Merrill, Antigo, Medford, and Stanley
• Possibility of on-call assignments, asked in advance but rarely occurs
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; Trauma Level I or II experience required if no prior travel experience
• Prior travel experience preferred
• Trauma Level II experience required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Work in an 18-bed unit covering stroke, cardiac, neuro, pediatrics, geriatrics, and respiratory cases
• Fast-paced environment with a 3-4 patient ratio per nurse
• Responsibilities include drawing labs, performing nebulizer treatments, and utilizing Pyxis medication dispensers
• Respiratory therapy and X-ray staff available on site in the ED
• Must be a hard worker, resilient, able to manage independently, and complete tasks in a timely manner
• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS (ARC or AHA)
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Any color scrubs permitted

Facility:

This facility is home to a high-acuity emergency department designated as a Trauma Level II center. The unit consists of 18 beds and is stroke certified, offering comprehensive care across multiple specialties including cardiac, neurology, pediatrics, geriatrics, and respiratory medicine. The department is supported by in-house lab services, respiratory therapy, and on-site X-ray staff, providing a dynamic and well-resourced environment for emergency care professionals.
