Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

• 13-week contract with 48 guaranteed hours per week
• 12-hour PM/night shifts from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM with ability to flex to 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM occasionally
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• May be required to float to other locations including Merrill, Antigo, Medford, and Stanley
• Possibility for on-call shifts, asked in advance but would rarely occur
• Primary location in the Emergency Department
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; prior travel experience preferred or 2 years of Trauma Level I or II experience required if no prior travel experience
• EPIC charting experience required
• 18-bed unit covering trauma, stroke, cardiac, neuro, pediatrics, geriatrics, and respiratory cases
• Fast-paced environment with 3 to 4 patients per nurse
• Responsibilities include drawing labs, administering nebulizer treatments, and using Pyxis medication dispensers
• X-ray staff and respiratory therapy available on site
• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS (ARC or AHA)
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Scrub color: any color accepted

Facility:

This facility is a Trauma Level II hospital with an 18-bed emergency department that is stroke certified and equipped to handle a wide range of complex cases including cardiac, neurological, pediatric, geriatric, and respiratory conditions. The emergency department operates at a fast pace and is supported by on-site X-ray staff, in-house laboratory services, and respiratory therapy, ensuring comprehensive care for patients across multiple specialties.
