Job Summary
Wausau, Wisconsin Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) position. This role involves working in a fast-paced, trauma Level II emergency department with a diverse patient population, including neuro, cardiac, pediatrics, geriatrics, and respiratory care. The RN will cover a rotating shift schedule, primarily 12-hour pm/nights, with occasional flexibility and on-call opportunities.

Job Details

  • Shift Schedule: Rotating 12-hour pm/nights shifts, typically from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM, with the ability to flex to 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM occasionally.
  • Hours and Duration: Minimum of 48 hours per week, with a contract length of 13 weeks starting on 09/21/2026.
  • Required Qualifications: Wisconsin RN license, BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and PALS certifications. At least 2 years of ER experience, trauma Level II experience required. Prior travel experience preferred; if none, candidate must have 2 years of trauma experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Nursing.
  • Additional Information: The unit is a trauma Level II, with 18 beds, stroke certified, and equipped for various specialized care. Responsibilities include charting using Epic, drawing labs, neb treatments, and utilizing on-site pathology and radiology staff. Candidates must be resilient, adaptable, able to work independently, and manage change effectively. Scrub colors may vary. Successful candidates will be expected to manage unbillable hours during low census periods and adhere to vaccination policies, including mask-wearing during flu season if declining vaccination.
