Alliance Services, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Marshfield, Wisconsin.

Job Details:
• 12-hour shifts with variable start times including 5:00 AM, 7:00 AM, 8:00 AM, 9:00 AM, 11:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 3:00 PM, 5:00 PM, and 7:00 PM; shifts more likely to be evenings and nights but variable
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• No on-call requirement; occasional standby may apply if census is low prior to shift starting
• 38-bed combined Emergency and Urgent Care unit with 5 trauma bays and resuscitation rooms
• Adult and Pediatric Level 2 Trauma Center, STEMI receiving and Stroke Center
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3 in ER and 1:6 in Urgent Care
• Treat an average of 140-180 patients per day
• Common diagnoses include chest pain, abdominal pain, sepsis, syncope, elevated heart rate, headache, and suicidal ideation
• Common drips include heparin, nitroglycerin, diltiazem, amiodarone, nicardipine, and norepinephrine
• Travelers are expected to perform triage for ambulance patients and walk-in patients
• RNs are responsible for drawing labs; phlebotomy handles blood cultures unless unable to arrive within 20 minutes
• RNs expected to monitor patient rhythms using GE monitors throughout the department
• X-ray and CT available within the department
• Charting system: Cerner experience preferred
• Scrubs: Any solid color, clean and professional
• Floating may occur only to serve as a patient sitter or helping hands; RNs will not be required to take a patient team on other units
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience required; Level 1 or 2 trauma experience and pediatric experience strongly preferred
• Three-day unit-specific orientation provided: Day 1 includes computer-based training and department orientation; Days 2 and 3 include on-unit orientation with an RN preceptor
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NIHSS, PALS (AHA), TNCC; ENPC encouraged but not required

This medical center is an Adult and Pediatric Level 2 Trauma Center with STEMI receiving and Stroke Center designations, offering a comprehensive and fast-paced emergency and urgent care environment. The facility operates a 38-bed combined Emergency and Urgent Care department with 5 trauma bays and resuscitation rooms, supported by 24/7 house supervision, in-house security, and a dedicated team of ED physicians, mid-level providers, paramedics, and respiratory therapists. The department utilizes Cerner for charting and is equipped with advanced monitoring technology, on-site X-ray and CT imaging, and a robust support staff to ensure high-quality patient care.
